On November 23, 2025, the "APSONIC Africa Cultural Research and Exchange Base," jointly established by the APSONIC brand under De Cheng Holdings Group and the Gulf of Guinea Museum of International African Art (MIAA), was officially inaugurated in Lomé, Togo, where the museum is located.

The establishment of this base marks a significant step for the APSONIC brand. Building on over two decades of deep-rooted presence in the African market, it further expands into new pathways of cultural integration and academic exchange, jointly promoting cultural mutual learning and artistic co-creation between China and Africa.

About MIAA:

The Gulf of Guinea Museum of International African Art (MIAA), located in Lomé, Togo, West Africa, was founded by the renowned Chinese collector of African art, Xie Yanshen. The museum boasts an exceptionally rich collection and an elegant environment, having become a treasured cultural and artistic institution celebrated across Africa with growing global influence.

Since 1989, Mr. Xie Yanshen has traveled through over forty African countries, assembling a collection of nearly ten thousand traditional African artworks, including wood carvings, bronze sculptures, and masks. He has donated over six thousand select pieces to the National Museum of China, facilitating the museum's first permanent exhibition of foreign art sourced entirely from donations. This has allowed countless Chinese visitors to engage with African art. Concurrently, he actively organizes exhibitions and lectures within China, vividly conveying the history and culture behind African art and continuously building bridges for dialogue between Chinese and African civilizations.
